{"id":110,"date":"2023-03-11T16:12:54","date_gmt":"2023-03-11T16:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.0.7\/wordpress\/?page_id=110"},"modified":"2023-04-24T14:16:41","modified_gmt":"2023-04-24T14:16:41","slug":"smart-systems","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/192.168.0.7\/wordpress\/index.php\/smart-systems\/","title":{"rendered":"Smart Systems"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Smart system is the next generation of computing and information system, combining artificial intelligence, machine learning, cyber-physical systems, edge\/cloud computing, pervasive\/ubiquitous computing, big data analytics, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to provide real-time networked information and control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smart systems components<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Smart systems typically consist of diverse components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Sensors for signal acquisition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elements transmitting the information to the command-and-control unit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Command-and-control units that take decisions and give instructions based on the available information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Components transmitting decisions and instructions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Actuators that perform or trigger the required action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Characteristics and potential threats<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Although very heterogeneous those components have some common characteristics :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>those components all communicate together and more and more through TCP\/IP<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>being connected they are potentially vulnerable to cyber threats , <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they may detect availability problems or have availability problems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>being outside they are also more vulnerable to natural (and man made) hazards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>some of them are moving around thus changing geolocation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>they need to be monitored against all those threats and potential incidents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IDMEFv2 answer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>IDMEFv2 is based on two major concepts :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>IDMEFv2 allows definition of cyber and physical incident whether they are malicious or accidental and natural and man made hazards.
